Viva Florida: Florida before Statehood Exhibit in Key West

Panel from the Viva Florida Traveling Exhibit

Key West International Airport in Monroe County is now host to the Viva Florida traveling exhibition from the Museum of Florida History’s TREX program, Viva Florida: Florida Before Statehood. Florida’s rich history and cultural diversity is captured in this exhibit, covering topics such as First Floridians and early colonies, European explorations and journeys seeking freedom. As part of the Florida Department of State’s Viva Florida campaign to promote culture and history in Florida, this exhibition offers the opportunity for many diverse venues to share the story of the development of Florida over the past 12,000 years into the great state we know today.
