Join the fun at Spady Living Heritage Day in Delray Beach

Spady Living Heritage Day is a family-friendly street festival highlighting the history and heritage of Delray Beach’s African American community.

The Spady Living Heritage Day is scheduled from 2-10 p.m. and will feature demonstrations of crafts from years past. Guests will also enjoy a Junkanoo parade, food, music, demonstrations, interactive recreation and live performances. This year’s festival will take place on the front lawn and on the closed-off street and in the Williams Cottage of the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum, 170 NW Fifth Ave., Delray Beach.

Activities for children will include pony rides, face painting, traditional games, such as horseshoes, sack races, tug-o-war and 3-legged race.

The free festival is part of the city’s Black History Month calendar of events.
